How to make a mess free clay footprint in a bag.

First you need air drying clay

Then you need to put it in a bag. The cheapest bags work best.

After you have your air drying clay in your bag you will need to work the clay to a flat blob then roll it flat to about 1/2″ thickness.  Do not roll it any thinner then 1/2″ because it will break once it starts to dry out.

Once you have your footprint cut your bag open.

Then remove it very gently and place it on wax paper for approximately 4 days to dry out.

You may also use a pencil or the end of a thin paint brush to write the name and date on it.

Then if you want a hole to hang yours up you may gently poke the pencil through the clay from the top then the bottom to smooth it out.

After your clay has dried completely out you may paint it with a gloss paint (use 2 Color paints)

and add a bow for decoration.
